Of all the accessories every biker needs, bike pumps are one of the most important. If you are several miles into a ride, especially a trail ride, and one of both of your tires go flat, you are basically screwed unless you have a bike pump.
There are a bunch of different pumps out there. Some of them are great, and some of them are a waste of money. We’ve used popularity, product reviews and personal experience to narrow your options down to the five best bicycle pumps on the market. In no particular order, here are the best bike pumps currently available:
The Topeak Pocket Rocket Master Blaster Bike Pump has by far the most epic name of any bicycle pump. The Pocket Rocket Master Blaster is rated extremely highly on Amazon.com, and it is generally regarded as one of the best pumps available, especially for around $15. It’s small, lightweight, and super portable. It even comes with a frame mount, which is nice because you won’t have to buy an extra piece to attach this pump to your bike.
The Topeak Road Morph G Bike Pump with Gauge is another popular bike pump. This one has a built-in pressure gauge that allows you to know exactly what PSI your tires have, which is a nice little add-on. The Road Morph G has over 200 reviews on Amazon.com, the vast majority of which are very positive. This pump sports a T handle for easy pumping and a fold out foot pad for stabilization against the ground. Although some people have complained about the quality of the Road Morph G Bike Pump, the general consensus is that it is one of the best bike pumps on the market.
The Lezyne Pressure Drive Pump is an ultra compact, extremely lightweight bike pump capable of producing 120 PSI. This was made strictly for road use and portability (it’s not a garage pump). Oh, and did we mention that it looks pretty sleek and comes in a bunch of different colors? You can get it in blue, yellow, pink, silver or black. You can also get this bike pump in several different sizes, but it works best as a compact bicycle pump.
The Mini MasterBlaster Bike Pump is another great little portable pump from Topeak. It has a capacity of 140 PSI and comes with a side mont bracket. It’s got a soft plastic handle for optimal grip and comfort. It’s barrel is made out of aluminum, and it has a sleek silver and black look. Priced affordably at under $15, this is an excellent pump for most riders.
The Zefal Mini Multi Sort Bicycle Pump is the least expensive pump on our list. Priced at just $11.69, it’s a steal. It is truly mini and looks more like a rocket than a bicycle pump. Despite it’s tiny size, it can still pump up to 100 PSI and comes with a presta adapter. Almost all of the customers who bought this pump said that it is versatile and a great value for its price and what it can do. If you are looking for an ultra compact, super portable pump and don’t want to break the bank, the Zefal Mini Multi Sort Bicycle Frame Pump is for you.
